About Biotech Yield EndorsementSM Program

Monsanto's advanced Triple Stack Corn technologies was the first-ever approved technology to qualify you for a crop insurance premium discount.

The Biotech Yield EndorsementSM (BYE) is a innovative crop insurance product that lowers premiums and recognizes growers who plant Monsanto’s stacked biotechnologies to reduce risk and increase yield.

  • 2009 program available in MN, SD, NE, KS, MO, IA, WI, IL, IN, MI and OH. Qualifying insured non-irrigated corn for grain acres are eligible in all approved states. Qualifying insured irrigated corn for grain acres eligible in only KS and NE.
  • Farmers must plant at least 75% of their total non-irrigated (an/or irrigated in Nebraska and Kansas) corn for grain acreage, including any replanted acreage, at the insured unit level with YieldGard VT Triple®, YieldGard VT Triple Pro™, or YieldGard® Plus with Roundup Ready® Corn 2 Hybrids. The insured must also purchase a qualifying type of insurance policy (APH, CRC or RA).
    *Acreage designated as high risk land does not qualify for the BE.

    • Note: In most cases, insurable units are not the same as total corn acres. Most farmers have the option to divide corn acres into multiple insurable units. Hence, most farmers could take advantage of Biotech Yield EndorsementSM while not planting Biotech Yield EndorsementSM qualifying hybrids on all non-refuge acres.

  • The Risk Management Biotech Endorsement will be available to be offered by all approved crop insurance companies.
